British Council hires new integrated creative agency

The British Council has appointed Omnicom’s DDB UK and Rapp UK to manage its integrated creative account.

Campaign magazine reported that the agency won the account following a competitive pitch process, with Pablo and M&C Saatchi having previously carried out the roles.

The British Council runs the Turing Scheme, which replaced the previous Erasmus+ scheme, funding students to study abroad in an exchange programme in order to improve their education and employment prospects.

A previous campaign from Rapp UK last year satirised out-of-reach job adverts in an effort to promote young people’s charity London Youth.

M&C Saatchi was appointed earlier this month to run the campaigning for the British Council-owned International English Language Testing System (IELTS).

In other recent government appointments, Wavemaker won the account to handle ad strategy for the government’s new Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT).
