Go.Compare’s latest advert has put the consumer at the heart of its campaign, bringing the emotional benefits of price comparison to life.
The spot was developed by Drum with media planning from Hearts & Science, and it premiered across VOD, YouTube and social and DOOH on Boxing Day.
It introduces new character Simon, who is having a successful day completing chores and jobs around the house aided by his pet cat Leonard.
It also features a cameo from brand mascot Gio after purchasing new insurance via Go.Compare.

The campaign is set to run until September with the 30″ TV ads supplemented by four 10″ spots focusing on different insurance categories, such as car, home, pet and travel.
It comes as Go.Compare has changed tact over the past year, and sought to rebrand itself via a partnership with The Voice.
Main character Gio Compario, who is played by Welsh tenor voice opera singer Wynne Evans, continues to be a staple of the adverts and has stuck in audience’s heads.
However, the brand have reduced the amount of air time given to the unforgettable – yet annoying to some – jingle.
