Watch: Cadbury Dairy Milk shares the love in new VCCP ad

Mondelez’s Cadbury Dairy Milk has today (9 January) re-launched a touching TV spot that tells the story of a father’s bond with his daughter.

Developed in partnership with creative agency VCCP, the short film was initially launched last June across Australia and New Zealand, and is now set to hit UK screens this month – running until 22 January.

Building upon the brand’s ‘Generosity’ platform, which includes award-winning spots such as ‘Mum’s Birthday’, ‘Fence’ and ‘Bus’,  ‘Garage’ follows a powerful storytelling formula that highlights heartfelt human connections.

“In this latest film we have introduced lighter moments, while still retaining the authenticity from our other stories that have shown how powerful moments of generosity can be,” Cadbury UK & Ireland associate marketing director, Gemma Flanigan said.

“This fits in with the campaigns we have done for the last five years that showed different types of generous givers and how small gestures can make a difference.”

Featuring the brand’s iconic ‘There’s a glass and a half in everyone’ tagline, 30-second and 20-second edits will continue to run across TV, cinema, broadcaster video-on-demand YouTube until 5 February.

VCCP London executive creative directors, Jonny Parker and Chris Birch added: “We’ve always said generosity is out there in the world, it just doesn’t shout as loudly as the negative stuff. Garage is another one of those quiet small Cadbury films that hopefully makes people feel something big.”
