Pepsi and Ronaldinho invite onlookers to play ‘Nutmeg Foosball’

Soft drink giant Pepsi has partnered with brand ambassador and global football superstar Ronaldinho to launch a custom built ‘Nutmeg Foosball Table’ on Dubai’s Jumeirah Beach.

Fresh from appearing in Pepsi’s star-studded ‘Nutmeg Royale’ film alongside Lionel Messi last month, onlookers were left stunned when the World Cup winner challenged them to take part in Pepsi’s latest activation – which is set to run through to 14 December.

“Celebrating the launch of the Pepsi Nutmeg Foosball Table by surprising football fans was such a thrilling experience. It’s always a pleasure to work alongside Pepsi MAX who really set the bar when executing huge football moments within iconic worldwide locations,” Ronaldinho said.

“There’s nothing that makes me happier than sharing in the excitement and fun of a nutmeg, so being on the beach meeting fans and celebrating one of my favourite skills was a lot of fun.”

Coming as part of Pepsi’ new ‘Thirsty for More’ global brand platform, the campaign marks the latest instalment in Ronaldinho’s extensive association with the US brand.

Pepsi senior director of global marketing, Gustavo Reyna added: “This exciting collaboration showcases Pepsi MAX’s ongoing commitment to bring entertainment and football together in new and innovative ways.
