BT taps Sex Education’s Gillian Anderson for latest TV ad

Telecom firm BT has recruited Sex Education’s Gillian Anderson, who appears as her Jean Milburn character in a new ad to celebrate its ongoing partnership with streaming giant Netflix.

With a creative handled by London agency Saatchi & Saatchi, the ad dropped over the weekend during Brooklyn Nine-Nine on E4 to promote a new BT broadband and TV bundle.




The campaign is also set to be rolled-out in cinemas, and across key primetime slots on the ITV and Channel 4 networks.

“Now more than ever people are looking to move to broadband and TV bundles as they search for better value for money, which is why we are delighted to offer Netflix with our entertainment-based TV and broadband packages,” BT and EE marketing communication director, Pete Jeavons said.

“As Gillian expertly shows in our latest campaign, with BT TV and broadband there is something for every viewer – whether a sci-fi, crime thriller or comedy fan. Our customers can be safe in the knowledge that they can access great content for even better prices.”
