Love Island contestant Gemma Owen has penned a six-figure brand ambassador deal with PrettyLittleThing.

The one-year contract will see Gemma launch her own clothing collections as well as create content for the retailer’s TikTok, YouTube and Instagram channels.

The news comes weeks after a PrettyLittleThing advert was banned by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) for using sexually suggestive images of 16-year-old model Alabama Barker.

Gemma will also help the business launch their new resale platform ‘PLT Marketplace.’

“Gemma is the perfect person to represent the PLT consumer; she’s smart, confident, ambitious and has a much loved, relatable style,” PLT Chief executive Umar Kamani.

“We’re very excited to have her joining the PLT family and look forward to sharing lots of exciting content, collections and shoots with our customers”.

The new brand ambassador will become the third ex-Love Island contestant to sign a fashion sponsorship deal. Most recently, Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu penned a £1 million deal with fashion brand Oh Polly. Tasha Gouri also signed a non-fast fashion brand partnership with eBay.

Gemma herself added: “This really is a dream come true for me. I wore PrettyLittleThing throughout my time on the show and now being announced as one of their newest ambassadors alongside some incredible talent including Love Island alumni is really special.”
