Westfield’s in-house retail media agency Westfield Rise has extended its collaboration with the Walt Disney Group for a further three years, through to the end of 2027.

The renewal builds on a flagship partnership for the retail space owner across its Westfield London and Stratford shopping centres, which began in October 2016.

Through this collaboration, the US entertainment giant will continue to enjoy high-impact media placements and immersive experiences at both of Westfield’s London venues.

“We’re excited to extend our collaboration with Disney for another three years, reaffirming Westfield Rise’s commitment to innovative brand experiences and media solutions,” said Westfield Rise head, Mel Lalou.

“Our recent ‘How We Shop: From Play to Purpose’ report reveals that 47% of UK consumers seek immersive, entertainment-driven retail experiences, while 63% of young shoppers actively crave interactive and playful spaces. Together with Disney, we look forward to meeting these expectations, delivering impactful media and extraordinary experiences that seamlessly blend entertainment, retail and community engagement.”

In the past three years, the partnership has engaged with as many as 1.5 million visitors each week across both locations, with prime placements in 2024 including digital and static entrance dominations for Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes, as well as an Inside Out 2 sleepover event.
