Revolut has tapped skit-loving YouTuber Munya Chawawa for its newest brand film, enlisting the actor and comedian to show off the financial firm’s products.
Launching across digital today, the campaign is created by production company After Party Studios, with its founder acclaimed director Ben Doyle (also known as Rvbberduck) working closely with Chawawa at crafting the script.
The film features Chawawa playing an exaggerated version of himself trying to impress a high-flying Hollywood producer (also played by himself) over dinner. In an effort to woo the Hollywood agent, he offers to put the lobster on his Revolut.
“We are absolutely thrilled to have produced this incredibly fun and engaging campaign – our first of this kind for client Revolut – with the brilliant Munya at the helm,” said After Party Studios managing director Joshua Barnett.

“Our ambition was to deliver something that mirrored Revolut’s bold, fresh, and modern approach to finance while staying true to Munya’s unique comedic style and tone of voice,” Barnett continued.
Revolut’s Emily Lewis said: “It was a really exciting opportunity to work with Munya and APS and create something unique.
“We’re a financial institution with a product embraced by millions so we needed an ad that communicates that in an engaging way. The team succeeded; for 80 seconds you can’t look away from Munya and his characters.”
Chawawa said choosing to star alongside himself in the campaign, was a “no-brainer”.
“I’ve worked with Munya before, he’s a consummate professional with unfathomable good looks and irresistible charm,” he said.
“The end product was a super fun, super sleek Revolut ad.”
