Posting on LinkedIn, the executive said: “After more than five years; starting on Karen Millen and Coast in the depths of Covid, then moving on to Debenhams pretty much from day one of ownership – it’s time for a new adventure.

“It’s been an incredible half decade, working with some of the most talented and inspirational people I’ve ever met and, thinking back over my time, I’m so phenomenally proud and privileged to have been involved in so many career defining projects.”

The news comes after Debenhams recently appointed Tom Handley as a new non-executive director as part of a board reshuffle.

Additionally, the group confirmed that Alistair McGeorge had departed as a non-executive director.
