International agency Dentsu Creative has appointed Abi Evans as its new global chief growth officer, promoting her from her role as chief growth officer for the US.

In her new role, Evans will be tasked with connecting the various regional teams across Dentsu’s Media and CXM practices in a bid to make them more “operationally efficient”.

With the news first reported in Campaign US, Evans told the publication that she would focus on “listening and learning from others” in her first few months in post.

“We always say ‘no signature style is our style,’ and we’re super proud of that. It means that we do what’s right for our clients. The idea is locally relevant and excellent, but globally scaled and efficient,” said Evans.

“I’m grateful for and excited about a new challenge, but equally motivated by the trust that Dentsu and Dentsu Creative has put in me in giving me the opportunity.”

Evans has now been with the Japanese network for more than nine years, and during her time as chief growth officer in the US helped formulate the agency’s “unified global narrative”.
