Popular Scottish biscuit brand Walker’s Shortbread has enlisted former world tennis number one Andy Murray to serve up the classic Wimbledon treat of strawberries and cream to unsuspecting fans.

Surprising shoppers on Wimbledon high street in south-west London last week at a pop-up event, the three-time grand slam winner unveiled the ‘Andy Murray Signature Serve’ in partnership with Walker’s Shortbread.

The new dish offers a Scottish twist on the traditional strawberries and cream recipe, incorporating the brand’s famous shortbread fingers – a playful nod to Sir Andy’s favourite way of eating his own Wimbledon treat.

“For me the best way to enjoy strawberries and cream is with my fingers,  and I love that Walker’s have created this special treat with their delicious Shortbread fingers inspired by that,” said Murray.
