Fast food chain KFC has launched its ‘Finger Lickin’ Fork’ to help its fans better enjoy its Rice Bowls, after complaints on social media that they were too messy to enjoy by hand.
Developed by the US brand’s creative agency of record Mother, the social media activation will see KFC give away the “bespoke silver hand-shaped utensils” designed by jeweller Sam Ozanne.
“The all-new Rice Bowl is a delicious lunchtime product, but it’s obviously more difficult to eat with your fingers. The Finger Lickin’ Fork solves that for our biggest fans,” said Meg Stigant, junior brand manager at KFC.

According to the chain, these forks will provide diners “with a practical and premium utensil to keep for all the KFC Rice Bowls they’ll enjoy in the future”.
Emma Bottomley, business lead at Mother said: “Our hand-shaped silver fork is designed so KFC fans can enjoy the Rice Bowl in iconic style.”
