Uber has invested £5 million into granting its One members a week’s worth of exclusive perks.

The prizes include nine McDonald’s Chicken Nuggets, a year’s subscription of Disney+, a one-month Classpass trial and seven million Avios points.

Uber’s giveaway comes as research from the firm highlighted that over half of UK adults feel they rarely have a good week.

The research also showed 29% of respondents admitted they dreaded Mondays, and 24% felt like good things ddin’t happen to them in day-to-day life.

However, the data also showed that a random sunny day could make 85% of Brits smile, while a “just right cup of tea” cheered around 62% of adults up.

Alongside its reward programme, the company will unveil a London-based activation, titled ‘The Really Good Mood Machine’, aimed at putting people in a good mood. The machine will offer visitors everything from pop-up disco experiences to puppy parties and Uber credit.

Influencer Troy Hawke will be rewarding passers by in major UK cities for everyday activities such as breathing and blinking.
