Rotherham-based flooring and bedding retailer United Carpets and Beds has appointed McCann Leeds as its lead media buying and planning agency.

The IPG-owned agency will be tasked with delivering both on and offline campaigns for the brand, designed to revamp its marketing strategy and growth plans.

“We’re delighted to embark on this partnership with the team in Leeds. We know that their ambition for delivering growth is in line with our own and we’re really looking forward to seeing the results of our work together,” said Phil Grayson, procurement director for United Carpets and Beds.

According to the brand, McCann Leeds was selected due to its “bold and distinctive” approach, by promising to help United Carpets “Stand Against Bland”, by redefining its growth and unlocking new possibilities through data intelligence and strategic creativity.

Kevin Murphy, McCann group managing director said: “We are thrilled to be teaming up with United Carpets and Beds.”
