Liverpool FC’s long-time brand partner Carlsberg is celebrating the club’s record-equalling 20th league title with a cheeky series of billboards in the heart of the city.
Reading: “Back on our “f****** perch”? Probably.”, the boards are a nod to the famous line once aimed at Liverpool’s dominance by former Manchester United manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, as well as the beer brand’s popular “Probably” strapline.
Mounted swiftly following the club’s title win yesterday (27 April) after a 5-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield, the boards can now be seen at Liverpool’s Central Station, Boxpark, Aintree and Edge Lane.

“This historic win puts Liverpool FC firmly back at the top of English football, equalling Manchester United’s record of 20 league titles. So, we wanted to do something to mark the occasion,” Carlsberg head of marketing, Samuel Johnson said.
“As a partner for more than 30 years, we’ve been with Liverpool FC through plenty of highs and lows, so to be able to celebrate the club’s triumphant return to their ‘perch’ is really special, and of course, we had to do it in typical Carlsberg fashion.”
The campaign marks the continuation of the Danish beer’s long standing relationship with the football club, having first signed a deal with the Reds in 1992.
