Brett Gelman, who appeared in hit TV show Stranger Things, has been snapped up by freelancer marketplace Fiverr to promote its all-new suite of AI-powered tools designed to assist creators.

Inspired by the comedic “mockumentary” style of ‘The Office US,’ the ad features Gelman playing the role of ‘Another AI’, a burdensome colleague who produces generic work and frequently copies others.

Gelman is swiftly caught by a colleague and is then “trained” into being a better collaborator, illustrating the strong points of Fiverr Go and how it can be trained on an individual freelancer’s own body of work.

“I really appreciate Fiverr’s approach to the central concept of the commercial and illustrating clearly what they are about”, said Gelman.

“Fiverr is putting the artist first and making it clear that AI is simply an exciting new creative tool.”

The ad went live across streaming channels yesterday (15 April), showcasing how freelancers working in a range of industries can use Fiverr Go to scale their business.

“Instead of AI controlling humans – a dystopian storyline you might see in Stranger Things – we built Fiverr Go to enable freelancers to reclaim their creative power in an AI-driven world,” said Matti Yahav, Fiverr CMO.

“Brett perfectly embodies our vision of creators thriving with AI as their partner, maintaining ownership of their work while dramatically expanding what they can accomplish.”
