World Dart champion Luke Littler and players from Somerset football team Tunley Athletic feature in the third season of SpecSavers’ ‘Best Worst Team’ YouTube series.
Created by the eyewear firm in collaboration with PR and social agency, Tangerine, the campaign follows the worst-performing grassroots football teams as they reverse their fortunes.
This season follows Tunley Athletic as players are offered tips on maintaining focus and performing under pressure by darts champ Littler (above, centre).
Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp will return to the show as a guest coach.
The series aims to bring Specsavers’ tagline ‘Should’ve Gone to Specsavers’ to younger audiences. It comes after data from season two showed a 70% increase in brand consideration and 10% incremental brand reach among Gen Z.

Lisa Hale, head of consumer PR, brand activation and social media at Specsavers, said: “Should have Gone to Specsavers is such an iconic idea, to work with our in-house and external agencies over the past few years, on a conceptual take on it to appeal to new audiences, has been such a fulfilling project.”
“The campaign has become a key vehicle for connecting with wider audiences. With season two’s massive success, it was an easy decision to continue working with our agency partners on evolving the story, this year with the brilliant Tunley Athletic.”
‘Best Worst Team’ will be supported by full-scale PR and social activations.
Martin Kevill, creative director at Tangerine, said: “The immense success of the second series showed us that there is an appetite for going even bigger. The involvement of Luke Littler, Spotify, The Rest is Football [podcast] and everyone’s favourite, Harry Redknapp are just the tip of the iceberg for Tunley this season.”
