The Marketing Society has named ITV chief executive Dame Carolyn McCall as its new president.
McCall will take over from outgoing Marketing Society president Syl Saller, who has been in the role since 2017.
McCall was appointed chief executive of ITV in 2018, having previously worked at the Guardian Media Group, which she joined as a research planner in 1986. Before she left the group in 2010, she held the positions of chief executive of the Guardian Media Group and chair of Guardian News and Media.

She was also chief executive of budget airline Easyjet.
McCall said: “Marketing has been at the heart of my career. It has the power to make a meaningful impact on every business by changing consumer perceptions, driving growth and inspiring change by being at the forefront of innovation and product development.”
