Newly-created drinks group Carlsberg Britvic has made two new appointments to its senior leadership team. Carlsberg’s acquisition of Britvic was officially completed today after being granted High Court approval last week.
The group has named Carlsberg Marston’s Brewing Company CEO Paul Davies as CEO and promoted Munnawar Chishty to be CMO.
Davies has worked for the Carlsberg Group since 2007. He previously held the position of vice president for marketing and vice president for sales for Carlsberg Sweden, and vice president craft and specialty in Copenhagen. Before being appointed Carlsberg Marston’s Brewing Company CEO in 2020, Davies was managing director of Carlsberg Poland.

In her new CMO role, Chishty will oversee marketing across Britvic and Carlsberg’s portfolio which includes brands such as Robinsons, Tango, J2O, Carlsberg, Birrificio Angelo Poretti and Brooklyn Brewery beers.
Chishty had been marketing director at Britvic since 2023. Prior to joining the brand she held positions at Walgreens Boots Alliance, GSK, Johnson & Johnson, Gillette, and PepsiCo.
Carlsberg Group CEO Jacob Aarup-Andersen said: “The Britvic acquisition is a pivotal milestone in the history of Carlsberg as we deepen our commitment to the UK market and write an ambitious next chapter in our growth story.
“Soft drinks is an attractive category that also brings significant synergies in combination with beer. Britvic is a large-scale, well-established business with a strong portfolio of much-loved own and partnership brands that has consistently delivered strong results.
“I’d like to congratulate our new senior leaders on their appointments today, and we’re delighted to welcome all our new Britvic colleagues to the Carlsberg Group. We look forward to enhancing our combined business across the UK and other markets, and to strengthening our existing ties with PepsiCo.”
These appointments come as the Carlsberg Group secures its acquisition of Britvic.
