Ride hailing service Uber has been unveiled as the latest media partner for London Gatwick airport, with a quirky out-of-home campaign crafted to promote the multi-year partnership.
Developed by the US ride brand’s UK agency of record Mother, the work aims to highlight the role Uber plays in multi-modal travel by helping people both get to, and get home from, the airport.
Over 2,500 brand assets have been crafted for display at London Gatwick, which is the UK’s second busiest airport, with the visuals set to be a permanent fixture there through to 2027.

“At airports, travellers want to reach their final destination as effortlessly as possible. Our campaign shows them just how close they are, reminding everyone that with Uber, You’re almost there,” Uber UK head of marketing, Maya Gallego Spiers said.

‘You’re Almost There’ also features practical enhancements, including clearer wayfinding from baggage collection to Uber pickup areas, in a bid to streamline the ride sharing experience at the airport.
Mother ECD Martin Rose added, “We aimed to connect Uber with London Gatwick’s broad passenger base and across the airport, in literally thousands of places, there are messages designed to generate a smile.
“We hope this lifts journeys to and from London Gatwick. By elevating Uber’s iconic journey line, as seen by millions every day using the app, we’re graphically showing travellers they’re almost at their destination.”
