Social media group Meta, which owns brands including Facebook and Instagram, has named Shruti Dube as its new UK country director. She will officially start her role in March 2025.

The appointment comes after Derya Matras was named as Meta’s new vice president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Dube has worked for Meta’s EMEA team for nearly a decade, holding positions such as group vertical director for the UK and Ireland and, more recently, EMEA sales strategy and operations director.

Dube said: “I’m honoured to step into the role of UK country director at Meta. The UK is at the forefront of digital innovation, and I’m excited to work with our incredible teams and partners to drive positive impact for people and businesses across the country.”

Prior to Meta, Dube has worked for consulting firm McKinsey & Company and Sequoia Capital. She has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a dual degree in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology.
