John Lewis has been awarded the Royal Warrant of Appointment as a supplier of household goods and furnishings to King Charles III.

Department store chain John Lewis has been awarded the Royal Warrant of Appointment as a supplier of household goods and furnishings to King Charles III.

This comes after Waitrose was granted the King’s Royal Warrant of Appointment as Grocers and Wine and Spirit Merchants in May of this year.

To be granted a Royal Warrant, a company must have regularly supplied the Royal Household for at least five years.

John Lewis was previously granted recognition from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II with a Royal Warrant having been granted to John Lewis Reading and John Lewis Oxford Street.

John Lewis owned department store, Peter Jones & Partners, Sloane Square also held Royal Warrants of Appointment from the former Prince of Wales, now King Charles, and the late Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Phillip.

John Lewis executive director Peter Ruis said: “It’s a proud moment to be recognised by His Majesty with his Royal Warrant. For 160 years, we’ve been focused on offering excellent customer service and the highest quality products, and the Royal Warrant is a testament to the hard work of Partners across John Lewis and our suppliers.”

According to John Lewis, the announcement reflects its commitment to supporting local communities and upholding high environmental standards
