Vodafone’s youth-focused brand VOXI has launched a playful new campaign just in time for the festive season, designed to give people a sneaky way of scrolling their phone during busy family time.
Devised by creative agency AMV BBDO, ‘Phoney Cases’ was inspired by insight from young people that Christmastime can often leave them desperate for an escape from family related activities when returning home for the festive period.
Forming part of VOXI Mobile’s ongoing “The Fun Never Ends” brand platform, launched in June last year, the latest campaign will aim to help people stay connected and enjoy their downtime by using the brand’s cleverly-design decoy cases.
“At VOXI, we understand how important it is to stay entertained and connected with friends, especially during the holidays,” VOXI head of brand, Jordan Stone said.

“With Phoney Cases and unlimited social media, the fun never ends — even when those less exciting festive family obligations come around.”
Including designs to look like a life-sized baby or even a plaster cast, the range will be available via a limited run via a campaign on Meta platforms and TikTok. This which will include a competition allowing VOXI customers to win a case before Christmas Day.
AMV BBDO creative director Michael Hughes said: “The VOXI brand is all about ensuring the ‘Fun Never Ends’, and what better way to do this than a life-size baby case as a decoy so you can use your phone in plain sight undetected.
“After all, there’s always a baby at Christmas, and no one wants to wake it up.”
