Topps, the flagship trading card brand of Fanatics Collectibles, has launched its highly anticipated UEFA EURO 2024 Chrome trading card set, with an ad featuring football legend José Mourinho.

The brand’s tongue-in-cheek ad showcases Mourinho’s trademark wit as he visits a parody Chrome lab, instructing experts to create a card that is “as Chromy as it gets”.

In a nod to his illustrious career, the manager jokes that he is “used to seeing shiny things”, referencing his impressive trophy collection – having picked up league titles in Portugal, England, Italy and Spain.

The new Chrome set boasts a star-studded lineup of signed cards from tournament stars such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Ballon d’Or winner Rodri, Harry Kane, Lamine Yamal and Luka Modric.

Following Mourinho’s blockbuster ambassadorial role for Topps over the summer, Fanatics Collectibles chief marketing officer EMEA Patrick Rausch said: “Once again, José Mourinho shows us why he is called ‘The Special One’ and why he is the perfect choice for us as brand ambassador and product manager.
