Saatchi & Saatchi UK has recruited MullenLowe CEO Claire Hollands as its new CEO, marking its second senior leadership appointment this year.

Saatchi & Saatchi UK has recruited MullenLowe CEO Claire Hollands as its new CEO, marking the agency’s second senior leadership appointment this year.

Holland will now report in to Charlie Rudd, CEO of Publicis Groupe UK’s creative practice. She leaves MullenLowe after three years, having overseen the integration of three agencies (MullenLowe London, MullenLowe Profero and MullenLowe Salt).

Holland started her career at as an intern at Publicis, before moving on to work as an account manager for agencies such as Leo Burnett.

From there she worked at AMV BBDO for 13 years, rising to the role of chief client officer, working with a range of big-name brands such as Bacardi and BT.

On her appointment, Claire Hollands said: “The Saatchi talent, creativity, and love for what they do is inspiring. I’ve been impressed by the quality of the client work, the strength of the client partnerships, and the ambition for progress, and I look forward to working with the team to elevate this further.”

Rudd added: “We were very clear that for the next Saatchi’s CEO, we wanted a modern and progressive leader who comes with a proven track record in running successful agencies.

“Claire has an exceptional reputation; she is a real champion of creativity and has exactly the leadership skills required to lead the agency in its next chapter.”

Earlier this year, the agency announced that its former head of data arts Ruth Bates, had been appointed to the newly created role of chief data officer.
