Havas Media Network UK has been unveiled as the headline partner for the 2025 edition of the Back2Business Career Accelerator Programme for the marketing, media and comms industries.

Back2Business is a free-to-attend six-day reorientation bootcamp for professionals who have taken three or more years out of their careers for caring reasons, and is focused on marketing, digital and PR professionals.

As part of the agency’s partnership with the event, participants will be able to apply for current vacancies within Havas Media Network UK and the wider Havas UK group and other partners, including SSE Energy, the Rail Delivery Group and the Ad Association.

“Women’s career paths often look very different to men’s career paths. Wiggly rather than linear. Women in the UK still take longer career breaks than men for caring reasons and can find themselves locked out of their careers when they try to return,” Back2Business co-founder and F1 recruitment CEO Amanda Fone said.

“This leaves an industry bereft of some of its best, most experienced people. Our bootcamp is about rebuilding lost confidence with a structured programme that reconnects talent to an industry and vice versa.”

Since it was founded in 2013 Back2Business has helped 400 women get their careers back on track, with on average 60% of each cohort back in work within six months of completing the programme.

Ledger Bennett, part of the Havas Media Network UK, head of growth Sarah Baker added: “It’s an open secret we struggle to retain our industry’s best talent as they progress to more senior positions.

“It’s vital we build a multi-generational workforce and ensure we always remain connected to and supportive of a wide range of talent.”
