The People’s Postcode Lottery has enlisted global popstar Ellie Goulding for a heart-warming new ad that thanks its players for the vital part they play in helping UK charities.

Created by the lottery’s in-house team in partnership with purpose-driven GOOD agency, the clip sees Goulding perform an uplifting rendition of the classic 1960s hit ‘What the World Needs Now’.

Also starring the brand’s charismatic frontman, Tom Allen – the clip aims to showcase all the good works up and down the counnry that the People’s Postcode Lottery is able to fund thanks to its players.

“This was such a special campaign to work on. People often don’t realise how many charities and good causes are supported and how much funding has been raised,” People’s Postcode Lottery head of marketing, Anna Russell said.

“We decided to create this campaign to thank our players – none of this could be achieved without them”.

With media planning and buying handled by The7stars, the creative will run across TV, video-on-demand, online video and social media, supported by a geo-targeted digital out-of-home campaign.
