Social media specialist We Are Social’s new Shoreditch-based sister agency Hello UK has appointed Matt Roberts to the newly-created role of managing director.

Prior to joining the creative agency, which launched just last week, Roberts was client services director at AnalogFolk, having previously worked at Publicis Poke as client lead and then business director.

In his new role, Roberts will be overseeing the agency’s growth strategy and bringing in new clients.

Writing on LinkedIn, Roberts said: “I’m so excited to announce I’ve joined Hello, as managing director in the UK.”

“A socially-led creative agency (and wonderful team) dedicated to defying some of the long-held conventions of our industry in order to create culturally impactful work.”

Speaking to Campaign magazine about the launch of Hello and Roberts’ appointment, We Are Social UK chief executive Jim Coleman described the move as “an important milestone” in the expansion of its “socially led” culture.

Throughout his career, Roberts has worked with a range of clients including BT, Morrisons, Google, L’Oréal and EE.
