Omnicom Media Group UK has appointed its first chief strategy officer, appointing Charlie Ebdy from OMD UK in a move which is effective immediately.

Ebdy, who had been chief strategy officer at OMD UK since 2019, will report to CEO Laura Fenton in his new role.
While at OMD UK Ebdy headed up a 50-strong department covering strategy, analytics and effectiveness, helping to garner an array of business wins for clients including C4, Compare the Market and British Gas.
Prior to taking on her current role at Omnicom Media Group, Fenton worked with Ebdy as CEO at OMD UK.
Fenton – who had previously worked with Ebdy when she was CEO at OMD UK – described him as a “razor sharp strategic leader”, adding that he had “consistently delivered outstanding strategic thinking”.

“As chief strategy officer of OMG UK, Charlie will bring that vision to the wider group, helping drive our forward strategy and accelerating our proposition to stay ahead in the areas that matter most,” she continued.
