Brandtech firm Jellyfish has appointed Nick Fettiplace to step up to the role of managing director.
It comes as its previous managing director Rick Lamb departs the company after five years, having played a key role in its acquisition by Brandtech Group.
Fettiplace, who has been with the business for 13 years is currently chief solutions officer.
Along with Jellyfish CEO Edward Ball, he was the founder of Weedoo Media which was acquired by Jellyfish in 2011. Since then, Ball has been at the helm of Jellyfish’s global SEO and earned media teams becoming a well-known name among its UK clients.
“I’m excited and incredibly optimistic about taking on this role,” said Fettiplace.
“My goal is to support our national, regional, and global commercial ambitions while also reiterating our sense of culture, identity and heritage specifically within the UK market,” he continued.
He added that Jellyfish has always stood out to him as unique and “constantly evolving”.

“Over the past five years, we’ve grown significantly on the global stage. I want to take this opportunity to reintroduce Jellyfish to the UK market and say, Look at us now. Look at what we can offer.”
Jellyfish CEO Nick Emery thanked Lamb, describing him as a “lovely caring brilliant person” and called him “a very tough act to follow”.
“We aim to revolutionise every aspect of marketing and that needs people who can lead change, lead our industry and move differently from the conventional. Nick can do all of that and more,” he added.
Jellyfish’s core clients Google, Spotify, Amazon, Uber and Bissell.
Lamb will join Manchester based firm THG as partnerships director and will be responsible for growing and strengthening alliances across the retailers’ marketing capability.
