Out-of-home infrastructure firm Clear Channel highlights the negative effects of street violence in a new partnership with nationwide LGBT charity Strut Safe.

The partnership will see Clear Channel ensure that the details of the Strut Safe support line will be visible across thousands of digital screens across the UK, highlighting the nationwide phone line which helps those feeling unsafe.

It will feature on prominent sites including Adshel Live and Billboard Live throughout the 2024 academic year.

The charity, which is not linked with the police, offers free and non-judgemental support services. It comes as earlier this year the Safer Business Network and The Mayor of London launched a Night Safety Summit — last year calls to Srut Safe mainly came from London, the Southwest and Scotland and after 11pm.

“Partnering with Strut Safe aligns perfectly with our commitment to being a platform for good and underscores our dedication to supporting initiatives that make a tangible difference in people’s lives,” said Clear Channel chief marketing officer Martin Corke.

He added that Clear Channel aims to use its “extensive network and resources” to help “create safer communities”.

Strut Safe co-founder and director of communications Rho Chung added: “We started Strut Safe because we wanted to mitigate the harmful effects of street violence on our day-to-day lives.”

“If just one person calls us and feels a bit less alone on their nighttime journey, then we’ve done our job.”
