Amazon Business has returned with another outlandish, CGI-laden effort to back up its fantastically surreal series of ads released over the past twelve months.

Developed by creative agency Joint, ‘Run a Tighter Ship’ sees a motley crew of pirates bogged down by endless paperwork before their captain enlists the services of Amazon’s Smart Business Buying to lighten their load and get the money flowing.

The work builds on similarly outlandish fantasy pieces created by Joint for the tech giant, including the Ancient Rome-set ‘Rome in a Day’, and the folklore-inspired ‘Moving In’ based on the ‘Old Woman who lived in a Shoe’.

“It’s been such a joy to partner on this campaign with the team at Amazon Business. We’ve relished the challenge of creating work that embraces storytelling and craft in a compelling and impactful way,” Joint chief creative officer, Algy Sharman said.

Directed by Traktor, the 45-secon spot will from part of a wider campaign for Amazon Business, running from mid-July through to mid-October 2024.
