Decathlon gave a humorous – and timely – response to the global Microsoft outage which saw thousands of cancelled flights and impacted a total of 8.5 million Windows devices.

Erecting a billboard that said “Outage? Get outside”, sportswear brand Decathlon used the moment to its advantage.

However, Ryanair, which usually adopts a tongue-in-cheek tone, took to X for a more serious response that discussed a “global 3rd party outage which is out of its control”.

Ladbrokes, the UK betting firm, also commented about the outage on X, and said: “You might have seen the news about the global technical issue affecting airlines, banks etc. unfortunately we’re experiencing this too. We’re working hard to resolve the issue but don’t know when it will be fixed.”
