Advertising technology firm Taboola has struck a deal with Apple to power native advertising within Apple News and Apple Stock apps.
Available across Apple devices, including iPhone and Mac, it enables top brands to access premium users who wish to access quality journalism.
According to American news site Axios the deal will provide new validation for Taboola’s business, which last year saw annual revenues of £1.26 bn ($1.4 bn).
Taboola founder Adam Singolda told the site that the company’s ad moderator teams have “certain levels of control around which advertisers it will sell through to Apple apps”.

The deal will mean that Taboola can sell ads within the main feeds and articles for select publishers across both Apple News and Apple Stocks.
Known for “chumbox” advertising, which is associated with clickbait and low quality links that are designed to look like news stories, the brand already works with publishers including Yahoo, Bloomberg, NBC and many more.
