Agency moves from Co-op, Ocado, Tetley and Parkdean Holidays

Change is afoot as the summer of sport gets into full swing with a slew of big-name brands such as Co-op and Ocado changing their agency partners.

The Co-op has named VCCP as its retained creative and strategy partner following the agency’s work for the retailer on a one-off project last year. VCCP secured the account following a three-way competitive pitch process handled by Ingenuity.

Online grocer Ocado has appointed Havas Media Network as its new media agency following a four-way pitch process managed by Flock Associates, fighting off Hearts & Science, iProspect and VCCP Media to win the account.

“[Havas] inspired us through their data-driven audience modelling, strategic verve, dynamic creativity and, lastly, their powerful ambition for Ocado,” Ocado marketing director, Eilidh MacAskill said.

Independent agency Neverland has also featured heavily in recent days having first lost one of its biggest accounts in tea brand Tetley, which split with the firm after three years.

More positively, the Old Street-based shop has managed to win the Parkdean Holidays account, fending off three other agencies to take home the UK’s largest holiday park operator.

“For us, being given the brief to turn one of the UK’s biggest holiday companies into a household brand name, is like being a kid in a candy store, with all your friends on the sunniest day of the year,” Neverland chief creative officer, Jon Forsyth said.
