Walkers is building anticipation ahead of this weekend’s UEFA Champions League Final by bringing back football legends David Beckham and Thierry Henry for the next instalment in its ‘No Walkers, No Game’ brand platform.

Forming part of PepsiCo’s sponsorship of European football’s showpiece tournament, this latest spot sees a desperate Henry scouring English streets for a fresh bag of Walkers’ crisps ahead of the crunch match at Wembley Stadium on Saturday (1 June) between Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid.

Playing off the dazzling chemistry exuded by the Henry/Beckham partnership, the film follows on from February’s San Siro-set effort and sees another unsuspecting pair of fans treated to a matchday experience alongside the former France and England captains.

Developed by London agency VCCP, participating fans were recruited via social media for what they believed was a documentary for Walkers’ parent company PepsiCo, before being dazzled by Henry with film crew in-tow.

“This was genuinely great fun and a testament to a fantastic collaboration. At Walkers, we love nothing better than to bring a smile to the Nation and we hope this new campaign will do just that,” Walkers senior marketing director, Wayne Newton said.

“Seeing the reactions of real people meeting Henry and Beckham was absolutely priceless. We hope as people see other elements of the campaign we’ll bring many more memorable experiences, after all: ‘No Walkers, No Game’”.

Having first broken over the weekend, the film will run across TV, broadcaster video-on-demand, digital, social media, print and out-of-home through to 16 July.
