Team GB athletes mark 100 days to Olympics with OOH push

Team GB athletes are appearing in an out-of-home campaign celebrating the 100-day countdown to this summer’s Paris Olympic games.

Featuring gold medal-winning triathlete Alex Yee, canoe slalom gold winner Joe Clarke, canoe silver medallist Mallory Franklin and  World Champion triathlete and Olympic debutante Beth Potter, the campaign shines a light on the diversity of the games’ disciplines.

Created in-house by outdoor specialist Ocean, the campaign forms part of the firm’s official partnership with Team GB and will appear across 82 digital out-of-home screens in London, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, Norwich and Southampton.

Out-of-home is the perfect medium to engage sports enthusiasts and supporters with the spirit of the Olympics and Team GB as the competition unfolds,” Ocean Outdoor head of content and sponsorship, Kevin Henry said.

The 100 days campaign will also have a European aspect via Ocean’s presence across the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland, as part of its official partnerships with their respective Olympic teams. The assets will run across 2,035 screens in total.

Team GB head of marketing, Carly Hodgson added: “It’s great to be marking 100 days to go until Paris 2024 by showcasing some of our extraordinary athletes with Ocean. We know the nation always love to get behind Team GB and this campaign is a brilliant way to keep the excitement building.”
