Barclays has appointed Born Social as its newest social media agency, to work across all Barclays UK and Barclaycard brands.
Campaign magazine reported that the process was led by Oystercatchers and that pitching began last year.
Speaking to Campaign, Oystercatchers client director Adam Trainis said it was “delighted” to work with the high street bank to help it find a social agency.

In December last year, Barclays appointed a new CMO Inderjit Bassy, who is tasked with overseeing the bank’s brand advertising, digital acquisition and campaign execution, after 20 years in marketing roles within the business.
The banking giant retains BBH as its creative agency, an account held since 2019.
Recent work from Born Social includes working with Nando’s on its TikTok account, as well as work with Cancer Research and Ford.
