Ocado reviews UK media account

Online grocery retailer Ocado is reviewing its UK media account and has appointed consultancy Flock Associates to act as an intermediary during the process.

Ocado’s media account has been held by Omnicom-owned agency Hearts & Science, alongside brand performance firm Three Pipe Reply, since 2021.

“As we look to grow and future proof our media capabilities, we have decided to hold a pitch for the consolidated media business for brand and performance,” Ocado Retail marketing director Eilidh MacAskill said.

“We’re really looking forward to undertaking this process to ensure Ocado Retail has the best possible media offering moving forwards.”

The online retailer kicked off the pitch process earlier this week, with proposals set to be accepted from April. OMD UK had been the previous incumbent from 2017 to 2021.

A Flock Associates statement to Campaign said that the review would aim to “optimise ways of working to deliver better consistency across planning and buying for Ocado’s brand and performance media”.
