Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles dumps BBH for Adam&EveDDB

Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles UK has returned to Adam&EveDDB after having worked with London rival BBH for the past five years.

Adam&EveDDB has secured the lead creative account on the back of a review kicked off last year that covers the car manufacturer’s brand, digital and social communications for its ‘Working with you’ brand platform.

The moves comes as the German brand’s commercial vehicles arm actions a concerted shift in marketing strategy, as it aims to “build on its strong heritage” and increase differentiation with its competitors.

“We’re undergoing a huge transformation in how we market and sell our vehicles, and we’re looking forward to launching our new brand platform with them, which will reassert the fundamentals of our brand for our customers today and tomorrow,” Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles UK head of marketing, PR and communications Eve Tyers said.

As part of its account win, the DDB-owned agency has said that it has created a new brand platform for Volkswagen, placing a “greater focus on services and mobility” for both its individual and business customers.

Adam&EveDDB CEO Miranda Hipwell added: “There is nothing better than a brilliant business coming back through the doors at Bishops Bridge Road. It’s been five years since we worked with Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, and we’re delighted to be partnering on its next chapter.
