‘We All Make London’: Mayor of London campaign celebrates diversity

A bold new campaign from the Mayor of London will be showcasing London’s diversity and promoting mutual respect in bid to tackle hate crime and “build a better, safer and more equal London for everyone”.

Spearheaded by the Elephant Room, the multi-channel campaign features two films and a series of OOH posters which can be seen across TfL’s advertising portfolio and the Mayor of London’s channels from 24 November.

The first ‘London for Everyone’ film showcases Londoners from different backgrounds and faiths, with footage of key elements of city life from pigeons to parks.

The second focuses in on diverse Londoners from the north, south, east and west of the city, and includes the words “From India, Poland Nigeria, to Hillingdon, Ladbroke Grove, Hackney”, signed off with the slogan “We All Make London”.

The OOH campaign shares similar vibrant images of Londoners from different parts of the city, along with copy signalling their background and the ‘We All Make London’ slogan.

In addition to TfL and the Mayor’s social channels, the campaign will also be rolled out across London sports clubs including QPR and Harlequins.

“London’s greatest strength is our diversity and we simply wouldn’t be the city we are today without the input, energy and experiences of everyone who lives here,” said Mayor of London Sadiq Khan.

“We have seen a concerning rise in hate crime across our city and nationwide. In times marred by division and fear, I am committed to seeing Londoners respond with unity and in hope,” he continued.

He added: “That is why I’ve increased funding to tackle hate crime in our capital and why I’ve launched our new ‘London for Everyone’ campaign. As we strive to build a better, safer and more equal London for everyone, it is vital that we stand together and remember that we have far more in common than that which divides us”.
