In its latest campaign train operating company Greater Anglia taps into the wonders of Christmas, with a spotlight on the adventure of travel.
Spearheaded by creative agency Atomic London, the visuals of ‘The Wonder of Christmas’ campaign are inspired by the whimsical adventures of ‘Alice In Wonderland’, building on the success of the brand’s summer campaign.
Running across TV, OOH, digital and social the video utilises the animated hare, which is the brand’s mascot and symbolises the swift and liberating experience of travel, acting as a festive guide along Great Anglia’s routes.

Continuing on from the narrative of the last campaign, which showed Alice following the jumping red hair instead of the white rabbit, the latest iteration shows the rabbit traversing various seasonal locations in London and East Anglia, ending up in a Christmas-y family home.
“The introduction of the ‘Where Wonder Starts’ campaign marked a new direction for our marketing efforts. With this festive campaign, we aim to build on that momentum, inviting new and returning customers to experience the comfort and convenience of our trains,” Greater Anglia head of commercial development David Meatherall said.
“Whether it’s visiting family, Christmas shopping or enjoying one of the many festive activities in London, Cambridge or Norwich, traveling makes it easier to enjoy the moments you love this season”.
Atomic executive creative director John Cherry added: “Building on the success of ‘Where Wonder Starts’ we created the essence of Christmas in East Anglia”.
He continued: “It’s more than just travel; it’s about the magical experiences along the way, made better by the convenience and pleasure of train travel during the hectic Christmas period.”
