Temptations celebrates capricious nature of cats in 2023 Christmas ad

Cat food brand Temptations is celebrating the notoriously tempestuous nature of our feline friends as a family pet ruins a 70s-style Christmas TV special.

Developed by London agency Adam&EveDDB, the campaign jokingly plays on the notion that cats are ‘too cool’ to join in with the family festivities at Christmastime, and that the only way two ‘tempt’ them out of their alloofness is with quality cat treats.

Running across TV and video-on-demand, the creative will primarily promoted the Mars Petcare-owned brand’s Creamy Purrr-é treats, marketing its as the ‘prefect gift’ for a cat at Christmas.

“Every cat thinks they’re too cool to partake in holiday fun, but we know that cool exterior will crumble in the face of Temptations Creamy Purrr-èe,” Adam&EveDDB chief creative officer, Richard Brim said.

“Our new campaign is a fitting addition to the ‘Cats Lose Their Cool’ platform – a funny, nostalgic festive spot to prove just how irresistible Temptations treats are to our feline friends.”

Live throughout November and December until Christmas Eve, the hero film will be supported by limited-time offered holiday treat bundles, PR and influencer support from Weber Shandwick and organic social content on Temptations brand channels.
