Timberland poaches Alexander Wang’s marketing lead

US fashion firm Timberland has named Alexander Wang’s brand lead Maisie Willoughby as its new vice-president and chief marketing officer, effective 16th October.

Set to be based in New York, Willoughby will report into global brand president Susie Mulder and will be entrusted with driving Timberland’s global brand strategy and enabling the brand to achieve sustainable, long-term growth.

Willoughby joins Timberland from her role as chief brand marketing officer at New York-based fashion house Alexander Wang, where she had worked since 2018.

“As we wrap up our 50th anniversary year, Willoughby will play a critical role in helping to shape the next chapter of Timberland,” Timberland global brand president, Susie Mulder said.

The British-born Willoughby has also spent time at the London offices of global advertising agency Wieden + Kennedy working as a creative producer, before moving on to Cult LDN and Alexander Wang.
