Grey London names new chief strategy officer

Creative agency Grey London has this week announced the appointment of Tarek Soufi as its new chief strategy officer, who will take up the role from June.

He joins from Dutch agency Media.Monks where he spent over two years working as its global executive strategy director.

Prior to joining Media.Monks Sioufi had spent several years with The Brooklyn Brothers, rising up to chief strategy officer before leaving for a short freelance stint at Wieden+Kennedy to take up a group strategy director role.

At Grey London, Sioufi will be tasked with leading the agency’s strategic and creative investment as part of its core executive team. He will report into president and chief creative officer, Laura Jordan Bambach and global chief strategy and data officer, Jonathan Lee.

“Tarek is a brilliant strategist who has spanned many different aspects of the craft through the years. He’s dynamic, knowledgeable and brings a wealth of wisdom and ideas to the agency,” Bambach said.

“Plus, he’s one of the humblest people in the business. He will help us supercharge our drive for creative excellence across the business.”

Sioufi added: “After meeting Laura and the rest of the team at Grey, it became immediately obvious that something truly special was brewing there. We share an insatiable appetite to push the boundaries of commercial creativity, a desire to make the work of our lives and a real need to have fun doing it.”

“The team have built and nurtured a culture that is already making that happen and the opportunity to write the next chapter of Grey London’s illustrious history with them was too good to turn down. I’m looking forward to making a little creative mischief with the agency and our clients.”
