McDonald’s has placed a giant helter-skelter slide in London’s Southbank as part of a new promotion called ‘Winning Sips’.
Launched by TV personality Olivia Attwood, the slide in the shape of a McDonald’s cold cup intends to raise awareness of the ‘Winning Sips’ campaign that will give away 17 million ‘Instant Win and App’ prizes for a month.
Beginning on 29 March, the campaign will give McDonald’s customers the chance to win prizes including £10,000 cash, menu favourites and limited-edition merch including bucket hats, towels and Coca-Cola glasses when purchasing a medium or large soft drink.
As part of the promotion, the fast-food chain is inviting members of the public to come down to Observation Point in London’s Southbank to take a ride down the giant fairground favourite. I’m A Celeb star Olivia Attwood will also hand out fries and limited-edition McDonald’s merchandise.

“Jumping out a helicopter in Australia was the most amazing experience of my life and when McDonald’s invited me to be the first to ride this giant slide, I couldn’t resist to get my thrill-seeking fix again,” Attwood added.
The Winning Sips campaign comes ahead of the Monopoly initiative intends to ‘get customers bubbling with excitement this spring. McDonald’s recently found that 86% of Brits admit to craving outdoor experiences after it was recorded that the first day of March was the coldest since records began.
