The film franchise John Wick has taken over Oxford Circus train station just days after John Wick: Chapter 4 was released into cinemas.
Produced by media company Global, the takeover of the London Underground station intends to ‘usher commuters into a neo-noir world’.
With Keanu Reeves standing centre stage, the 360 degrees domination re-introduces Transport for London (TfL) passengers to a cast of characters ready for action across a dramatic backdrop.
As well as a tube station takeover, motorists and pedestrians have also been able to grab a piece of the action, with high-octane ads placed on bus T-Sides and ‘Large Format’ Global digital billboards.
The new film – dubbed an ‘enjoyably pulpy slaughterfest’ by The Guardian – has already broken John Wick franchise records by recording its highest performing box office weekend so far, garnering £59.9 million ($73.5 million) worth of revenue.
