Matalan has unveiled its spring brand campaign ‘More to Love’ in a bid to promote its increased offerings.
Developed by creative agency McCann Manchester, the family retailer’s ad intends to encapsulate Matalan’s ‘positive and warm tone’ and celebrate the brand’s new women’s, men’s, kids and homeware products.
Set to Sam Ryder’s recording of the iconic The Source featuring Candi Staton classic, ‘You Got The Love’, the campaign will run across VOD, social media, TV, out-of-home (OOH), digital, radio, owned and earned channels. Social activations will ask Matalan’s 1.6 million online community to tell them why they love the brand, through #LoveMatalan, for the chance to win £250 gift cards.

“The idea behind the ‘More to Love’ campaign is to show that there really is so much more to love at Matalan,” Matalan omnichannel marketing director, Jeff Howarth, said. “We’re constantly striving to deliver more for our customers, offering broad choice and continue to add recognised third party brands to our extensive portfolio. In early April we’ll also be able to start offering our customers ‘buy now pay later’ options, so when we say there’s more to love at Matalan, we really do mean more.”
McCann Manchester chief creative officer Dave Price added: “’More to Love’ celebrates the fantastic range available at Matalan at great value. With Sam Ryder’s vocals bringing the campaign to life and adds some high energy magic.”

Please divulge where this adv was filmed. I agree with some of the comments. It looks very much like Cape Town.
it looks like Clarence Drive, past Gordon’s bay! I drove down there in January this year. Cape Town is my favourite place ever….
Totally agree Lois. That is Clarens Drive SE of Gordon’s Bay about 1:15hr east of Cape Town.
