Challenger cereal brand Surreal has caused a stir by signing Dwayne Johnson, Serena Williams, Michael Jordan and Ronaldo for its latest integrated campaign.

The one caveat: these are in-fact simply ‘regular’ people that the brand has paid to take part in the campaign; ‘Dwayne Johnson’ is actually a London bus driver, ‘Serena Williams’ is a student and ‘Michael Jordan’ is just a ‘normal bloke’ from St Albans.

To work within its budget constraints, Surreal thought outside the cereal box to find regular people with irregular names and paid them to review their cereal; getting the thumbs up from Dwayne but a resounding ‘not for me’ from Serena.

“We’re buzzing to be the official cereal of a Dwayne Johnson and a Serena Williams. If anyone knows a Dave Beckham, please get in touch,” Surreal co-founder Kit Gammell said.

Surreal added that they were yet to hear from any of the appropriated celebrities, or their lawyers.
