Watch: Doritos targets Gen Z with latest TV campaign

Snack brand Doritos has launched a new TV campaign to promote its products to Gen Z audiences looking for the perfect ‘night in-in’.

The new spot, which launched this week, will support extensive on-pack promotions enabling lucky customers to win £100 to go towards an ‘epic’ night in, with a focus on the snack’s ‘bold taste’ and ‘iconic crunch’.

‘Devour Doritos Your Own Way’ pokes fun at individual eating styles and urges consumers to ‘unleash the wild within’ as they share a pack with friends.




“This bold new campaign focuses on the fun and bold taste of Doritos and is brought to life in a brilliantly engaging way through the use of three different snacker types, showcasing the top ways the nation loves to enjoy [the snack],” said senior marketing manager, Alex Nicholas.

“We know that Gen Z are looking for ways to express themselves and this campaign encourages them to do exactly that.”

Featuring a voiceover from social media personality and entertainer Yung Filly, the campaign will run until the end of May and will also raise awareness around the brand’s recently launched non-HFSS pizza flavours.

Sips+Bites executive creative director, Matthew Watson added: “There’s something quite unique about how we all enjoy Doritos, so it was time to put that front and centre and shine a spotlight on how we all unleash the wild within when [they] are in play.”

“To create human animals, we enlisted leading talent, Henry Littlechild, Fable FX and Dark Energy, films to combine live action and photo-real CGI to bring the characters to life.”
